Informational Purposes Only

Content published on this website is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing contained on this website constitutes legal, financial, investment, accounting, tax, compliance, due diligence, or professional advice. Users should obtain independent professional advice before making decisions based on information obtained from this website.

Interactive Tools

The website provides interactive calculators and self-assessment tools, including the Business Confidence Index, the Cost of Waiting calculator, and the Financial Health Check. These tools compute results exclusively from information you enter, which is neither verified nor transmitted to us. Outputs are indicative and diagnostic only. They are not a credit rating, a credit score, a probability of default, an approved credit limit, or professional advice of any kind, and must not be relied upon as the basis for any lending, investment, procurement, or other commercial decision. Each tool carries its own methodology note and limitations, which form part of these Terms.

Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, graphics, logos, videos, podcasts, reports, designs, tools, and publications, is owned by or licensed to BizInfo Africa and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Users may not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, or commercially exploit content without prior written permission.

Indemnity

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless BizInfo Africa, its directors, employees, contributors, and affiliates from claims arising from misuse of the website.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.

Amendments

BizInfo Africa reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 2026 · Version 1.0

This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, what happens to it, and the rights you hold under the Data Protection Act, 2019. We work in due diligence for a living. The standard we apply to others applies to us.

The short version

Most of this website collects nothing from you. The calculators and assessment tools run entirely in your browser; the figures you enter are never transmitted to us or stored on our servers. We collect personal data in exactly three situations: when you submit a form, when you subscribe to the newsletter, and, with your consent, through analytics cookies.

What we collect, and why

Inquiry and contact forms. When you submit the Enhanced Business Evaluation inquiry form or the contact form, we collect what you enter: typically your name, business name, email address, phone number, and your message or requirements. We use it for one purpose: to respond to your inquiry and, where you request it, to prepare a quotation. Lawful basis: your consent, given by the checkbox on the form, and the steps necessary to enter into a contract you have requested.

Newsletter. When you subscribe, we collect your email address and use it to send new episodes and articles. Lawful basis: consent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

Analytics, only with consent. With your consent, given through the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages visited, approximate location at city level, device type. If you decline, analytics does not run. We do not use this data to identify individuals, and we do not sell or share it for advertising. See the Cookie Policy below for details.

Comments and interactions. Where the site enables comments on articles, we collect the name and email you provide with the comment.

What we deliberately do not collect

The Business Confidence Index, the Cost of Waiting calculator, the Financial Health Check, and our other interactive tools process everything you enter inside your own browser. Your answers, your financial figures, and your results are not transmitted to us, not stored on our servers, and not visible to us, unless a specific feature asks for your explicit consent to send them (for example, a future option to email your results to yourself or to share them with our team before a consultation; any such feature will state exactly what it sends and to whom, and will do nothing without your active opt-in).

Some tools offer to save your progress. That saving uses your browser’s local storage, on your device only. It never reaches us. You can clear it at any time using the tool’s own clear control or your browser settings.

Who else touches the data

We use a small number of service providers to run this website, each processing data only on our instructions:

  • Brevo delivers our transactional and notification email. When a form you submit triggers an email, it passes through Brevo’s infrastructure.
  • Google provides analytics (with your consent) and hosts embedded YouTube videos. Embedded media on this site is click-to-load where possible: nothing loads, and no cookies are set, until you press play.
  • Safaricom, our hosting provider stores the website and its form submissions.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. If we are required to disclose data by law or a competent authority, we will disclose the minimum required.

How long we keep it

Form submissions and inquiry correspondence are retained for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and for a period afterward for record-keeping, after which they are deleted. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per the retention period configured in Google Analytics. Where you exercise a deletion right, we act on it as described in the Data Subject Rights Procedure below.

Children

This website is directed at business owners and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the version and effective date above. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
